This art page has allowed me to expand my painting skills to products i never thought i would be able to create.
My collaboration with the Auberge de Vouvry restaurant is one such project that gave me the opportunity to develop my illustration skills and techniques in order to venture into a different type of art product.

When they approached me to create a summer design to adorn their new menu I immediately started researching the types of styles for menus. I also had a good look at the theme of their restaurant to ensure that the illustration i created was one that matched the general feel of the place.
Quaint, cosy, modern with that lovely hint of old charm, the Auberge de Vouvry restaurant expresses that Swiss feel of fresh mountain air, colourful spring flowers and wonderful earthy tones.
Luckily they had gone through my instagram account and had discovered certain designs they liked and wanted.
I was happy to recreate the the honeysuckle vine for their menu as well as illustrate a grape vine for wine menu. I created both using watercolour paint to ensure that element of hand drawn work was visible in their menu.
